Arsenal legend Ian Wright has criticised Granit Xhaka’s ‘very strange’ comment against his teammates after their 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United on Monday night
Wright noted that such comments would have ‘upset’ his teammates.
Arsenal’s top-four hopes are currently hanging by a thread after their 2-0 defeat to Newcastle at St James’ Park.
Their only hope of making it to next season’s Champions League is a win over Everton on the final day and hope that Tottenham loses to bottom-placed Norwich City.
After the Gunners’ disappointing loss, Xhaka blasted his teammates and said anyone who ‘isn’t ready for the pressure’ should ‘stay at home and watch’.
